On Saturday, May, 7, 2016, over 1,000 awesome Clevelanders gathered for the 28th Annual Run/Walk for Hunger at the Great Lakes Science to raise funds and awareness for the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland!
It’s was a one-of-a-kind morning in Downtown Cleveland with an enthusiastic crowd of caring neighbors. Runners and walkers gathered outside for a kick-off celebration lead by Cleveland 19 News’ Jeff Tanchak and Jen Picciano, involving fun friends like Moondog, Chomps, and the team from Real Popfusion. The fun didn’t stop there, runners and walkers soon took-off for a 5k race through our fine city, and returned to the Great Lakes Science Center for an after-party including lunch and awards.
This year’s after-party included games and a Kids Fun Run lead by a team from SkyZone.
The Hunger Network would like to thank all participants and volunteers, especially our sponsors for a beautiful morning of fun and fundraising! But, that’s not all folks – you can still support the event AND the Hunger Network!
We are leaving this page open for additional contributions through May 31st. All donations will go to the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland, feeding children who are away from school-provided meales over summer months. Every $1 raised will provide 4 meals to help fight local hunger.
Top fundraisers will be announced the first week of June, so now is the time to secure the top spot as a leading individual and team.
Thank you again to all involved in making this year’s Run/Walk for Hunger such a success!
