The Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland is responsible to buy approximately 95% of the food we distribute in our hunger centers. We are able to do so, in part, by hosting annual fundraising events.  Please consider joining us for the fun AND fundraising!

West Side Market

The Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland wants to thank everyone involved with the first Market After Dark event.  It was a huge success - sold out!  Thank you to our sponsors - Harbor Bay Real Estate Advisors, Pilot Flying J, Great Lakes Brewing Company, Key Bank, The Burnham Restaurant - Downtown Hilton, VitaMix and Morgan Linens.  We also want to thank the fabulous West Side Market Vendors, especially Clay Kosokar from West Side Market Cafe and Tammie Whitaker of Whitaker Meats.  A big thank you to Felicia Hall, Manager of the West Side Market, the City of Cleveland, Sustainable Cleveland, Zero Waste NEO, Joshen Paper, and Rust Belt Riders.
The event would not have been as successful without the support of Edible Cleveland, Channel 19, and Cleveland Scene Magazine and our fabulous volunteers.  And of course - the amazing array of Cleveland area's best restaurants, brewers, wineries, and cideries.
We are looking forward to next year's event - October 1, 2020!

Thank you!  The 31st Anniversity of the Run/Walk For Hunger took place on Saturday, May 11, 2019 where the community gathered at the Great Lakes Science Center to run, walk or volunteer for the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland. Together, we raised nearly $100,000 to help fight local hunger. It was a near perfect day and wonderful morning beginning with breakfast and coffee donated by Marc's and Kellog's. Our 5K race traveled through the streets of Downtown Cleveland for a scenic route that all runners and walkers enjoyed. At the conclusion of the race, attendees were invited to stay and enjoy our Family After-Party, which included lunch generously donated from Mr. Hero and Orlando Baking Company.   Save the date for our 32nd Annual Run/Walk for Hunger on June 6, 2020 at our new location - the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo!

The Hunger Network teed off for our 3rd Annual Golf Outing on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Stonewater Golf Course in Highland Heights. Two very dedicated members of the Hunger Network Board of Trustees, Kenneth Roller & David Weiner, created this event to raise funds and awareness in honor of our mission to fight hunger. This year was special with local pro Jimmy Hanlin showing our golfers expert tips with his chipping demo and vising with each of our teams.  We had NO RAIN (!) along with prizes, amazing raffle items and lots of great food and fun.
All to help support feeding people in the Greater Cleveland area who are in need. This fundraiser comes at the perfect time for the Hunger Network, as summer is often the hungriest time for our young neighbors away from school-funded meals. These funds will be used to purchase food for those in need.
